39 Outstanding Views of Switzerland
Henning Fine Art is pleased to bring you a rare collection of Albert Steiner (1877-1965) silver gelatin photographs dating from the early to mid 20th century. Containing a total of 39 different views in both standard and large format; these works feature a wide range of scenes from depictions of everyday mountain life in the high Alps to some of his most famous compositions including “Summer Day on Lake Silvaplanersee”.
This collection covers a varied breadth of his view categorized accordingly into 6 groupings which include:
“An Alpine Way of Life” Photos featuring human figure within the Swiss Alps landscape.
“Animals” Varied mountain landscapes dotted with cattle and goats.
“Architecture & Buildings” Traditional human built construction melding into the Alps.
“Winter Landscapes” A small hand of extremely rare winter scenes.
“Lakes & Trees” Showcasing calm reflective waters and a timeless standing tree.
“Large Format Images” These highly desirable larger format images cover a variety of all the above.
All prices are given upon request along with additional photos and condition reports. All works are unframed and shipped from the United States.
