Antique Juno Lamp w/ Slag Glass Shade
Antique Juno Lamp w/ Slag Glass Shade
Juno Lamp Company
Converted Oil Lamp
Circa 1890-1900
28 1/2 inches tall
FINE!
Up for sale is a fantastic antique slag glass lamp made by The Juno Lamp company during the late 19th century. This oil lamp has been converted to electricity which would have occurred between 1890 and 1900 and is in good working condition. This is an incredibly rare example from Juno Lamp company because of the shape and size of its base as well as the blended multi colored slag glass shade which has a different landscape scene on each side for each of the four seasons. These landscape scenes show different European landscapes with one side showing a large Dutch windmill. The shade is truly an impressive piece of art with quality glass that illuminates greens, blues, yellows and reds and of which all the large panels are in good condition. Their is only one piece of glass that is broken and that is the lower right section of the bottom smaller panel as seen in the 4th and 9th image. Measuring 28.5 inches in total height this lamp is an absolute gem of which I have not been able to find a finer lamp made by Juno. When shipped this lamp will be sent in two boxes, one box will have the base while the other the shade. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this Juno Lamp but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
