Up for sale is an outstanding antique miniature portrait double sided makeup holder and or locket. This dates to the mid to late 19th century and is of wonderful quality. The painting on one side depicts a man and woman while the other side depicts a woman feeding 4 lambs while holding a wood ladder. I am unsure whether this was used for some type of make up or just purely a locket you could maybe keep a locket of a loved ones hair inside. The case beautiful silver case is not made of precious metals. Their is a small chip in the blue outer rim of the portrait showing the woman feeding lambs.

Both sides of this locket are executed by hand and are original with incredible detail! The total length measures 3.75 inches while it measures 2.5 inches wide. I am also unsure of what material this painting is executed on. The locket does not fully shut on its own, it may have been opened just a hair too wide previously resulting is staying just a fraction of an inch open, barely noticeable.
