Up for sale is a beautiful pair of bookends by the well listed and enjoyed carver Jose Alberdi. This pair of book ends depict and old couple with an eerily human quality. The quality of the works are apparent when in hand, they are wonderful carvings in stellar condition. Both pieces are signed on the low side of their base which can be seen in the last few photos. These each measure roughly 8 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide. The man has a pipe that has been re-glued in his mount due to a break but will be removed when shipped, he is also missing the bob o top of his hat.
