Up for sale is an absolutely fantastic antique painting executed in gouache and pencil on paper depicting the famous Blennerville Windmill located in the South West coast of Ireland. This painting was executed by the Irish gentleman / reverend William Francis Seymour who signed in in very small lettering at the low left just outside the painting and dated low right 1856. The windmill is featured front and center with the rolling mountains in the distant and coastal water to the right. All depicted under a full moon partially covered by clouds in the sky just to the right of the windmill originally built in 1800. This expertly painted image is an absolutely charming work of art and quite rare as well. The condition of the painting shows some discoloration and staining with minimal surface imperfections/abrasions.
