Up for sale is a phenomenal mid century oil painting by Emmett Sutton depicting the beautiful Linnville Falls in Linnville, North Carolina. Part of the Blue Ridge Parkway this painting shows a small waterfall into a pool of calm water surrounded by rock. Tall trees lacking limbs stand behind while dense trees and green fill the background. Executed in oil on artist board measuring 24 x 30 inches the original attractive white wood frame measures 29 x 35 inches making this painting ready to be hung and enjoyed! Signed in the lower right corner "Emmett Sutton" and dated 1954, this painting is inscribed and signed verso also bearing the artists original paper label. The condition of the painting is exceptional only showing expected minor frame rubbing.
