Ahmed S. Eltemtamy was in Kuwait in the year 1960 and moved to the United States in 1980 when he was 20 to study architecture at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He later moved to Florida and began a business exporting cars from the U.S. to Kuwait until it went upside down in 2000 and began reselling art and antiques. He noticed that at auction people were paying big money for Florida landscapes from The Highwaymen and thought he could paint similar pictures. So for the first time in a decade Eltemtamy began painting these native landscapes and noticed he had something when his pictures began selling well on ebay.

In 2002 he sought after one of his favorite and most recognizable Florida Highwaymen artist Sam Newton. When Eltemtamy showed Newton his works He responded with "You need to be the one giving the lessons.". From here Eltemtamy was personally trained by Sam Newton for 6 months where he really learned to paint from the Florida master himself.

This stunning original oil painting on masonite depicts a beautiful Florida orange grove landscape. This subject matter is most sought after by Florida collectors more so over the more traditional swamp and beach scenes. This painting is executed on masonite and depicts three black men picking oranges filling up wooden crates not only on the ground but also their white sling bags.

The quality is second to none and Eltemtamy has since been recognized as a second generation highwaymen. His style and execution is impressive and the painting is just increadible to look at. I particularly enjoy the sky with the large puffy white clouds with a mixture of pink color and the texture in the trees. The texture in the trees adds a lot of depth and the reality that these trees are constructed from all different types branches and leaves poking around.

The painting is in absolutely mint condition and would make a great addition to your homes decor or personal collection. This one of two original Florida Orange Grove paintings I am currently selling by Eltemtamy.
