Georges Dole is best known for his fantastic multi color eye catching art nouveau lithographs but rarely do original composition such as this original pastel surface. Outside of private collections and institutions originals by Dola are virtually impossible to find but once every couple years one may show up for sale. This original hand executed composition depicts a beautiful reclining nude female with blue eye shadow. Signed in the lower right corner "l. Dola, Paris" this is a wonderful example and exceedingly rare work of Georges. The condition is very good with just a small blemish to the paper in the upper left as seen in the 6th image and a spot of discoloration low center. The gold wood frame appears to be original dating to the early 1900's and while it is in good shape it shows minor cosmetic blemishes with rubbing to gold color.
