Up for sale is a gorgeous watercolor painting by the celebrated female Kansas artist Clara Anna Hatton. Known for her varied mediums, this work is executed in watercolor on artist board depicting red and white gladiolus or sword lily’s. Signed in the low right corner “Clara Hatton”, the work is dated 1956 measuring 24 x 18 inches while its original wood frame measures 31.75 x 15.75 inches. The painting appears to have never been framed under glass and is housed like an oil painting but recommend reframing at least with acrylic. The condition of this painting shows even toning, a small tear low center just at the frames edge and some discoloration to its frame. Wonderfully executed, this still life an is extremely rare work by Clara Hatton and a fine example making this a true gem.
