This mountainous landscape is absolutely breathtaking, most likely depicting the Yellow River Valley, showing a large powerful winding river heading out to sea. Four small sail boats are seen on the water’s surface low right and really helps the scale of the scene which is massive. The mountains are cast in a most beautiful shade of contrasting cool and warm tones which help create an aesthetically appealing work with Feng’s superior use of color. Feng is a master of watercolor painting which is his favorite and preferred method. This is not only expertly executed but is of substantial size with the painting measuring 22 x 30 inches while the thin silver metal frame measures 28 x 36 inches. When comparing this original to others available or which have been sold over the years this painting rises to the top when looking at its quality and aesthetic beauty!
