Up for sale is a rare example of Hiroshige's woodblock print "Moto Hachiman Shrine at Sunamura" printed in 1856. This antique print was previously retailed by the San Fransisco Japanese art dealer "T.Z. Shiota" as seen labeled verso. A hand written label is verso from Shiota which reads "From the Series of Edo Meisho Hyakkei Sunamura Moto-Hachoman - An Original Wood Block Print by Hiroshige, 1797 - 1858". Resting in a vintage wood frame measuring 19.75 x 15.25 inches the print measures roughly 14 x 9.5 inches. While the print does have faded colors like the red and green the print appears to be in overall good condition free from any rips or tears. This has not been examined outside of its frame. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this rare original Hiroshige woodblock print but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
