Up for sale is an outstanding limited edition Paul Klee pochoir on rice paper entitled “Blau - Vogel - Kurbis” or “Blue Bird Pumpkin” from 1964. From the small edition of only 500, this stunning print is signed in the plate in the upper right and framed to full museum conservation standards. Originally part of a portfolio of 12 prints after original watercolors; this set was printed by Daniel Jacomet as seen with its appropriate blind stamp in the low left corner reading “Procede Jacomet” and his initials. The overall print quality of this pochoir is fantastic giving off the appearance of an original work of art in gouache. Layers of overlapping paint are visible within this work and as noted previously it is newly framed with all museum-grade materials including Tru-Vue museum glass. The condition is very good showing some minor waviness and a slight crease present low left seen in the photo just above the blind stamp. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this hard to find limited edition Klee work so if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
