George Lockwood began his fascination and love for nature when he was just a boy camping, hunting and fishing in the Western United States and Mexico as a boy. When George was older he became and full time tour guide taking people to the most remote parts of the United States. He had always painted during the winter as a hobby but he began to get requests for particular landscapes and animals when his talent had been noticed. He began painting full time and has completed many commissioned pieces depicting Americas most beautiful landscapes and native wildlife.
This original oil painting on wood panel depicts a gorgeous humming bird among a handful of vibrant orange and yellow Daylily's. The level of detail is breathtaking with every feather of the hummingbird visible. The colors used are extremely vibrant and realistic and will attract every eye that will pass it by. The condition is mint with no signs of wear or damage, this is well mounted in a wood frame in mint condition as well. The images provided accurately represent the condition beauty and quality of this work.
