Peter Max is known as Americas most popular living artist and his pieces are some of the most easily recognizable as they contain bold colors and artistic diversity. Peter was born in Berlin, October 19, 1937 and was at a young age exposed to many cultures as his family moved to escape the Nazi movement. Moving to Shanghai, China, early in his life he was able to study oriental techniques and this continued as he moved to Israel, and then eventually moving to America where he still resides today. Moving to New York he began his formal studies at The Art Students League of New York in Manhattan un Frank J, Reilly who had studied with Norman Rockwell.
Peter's work have been recognized on a global level as an essential for any collection. He has had hundred of exhibits and his pieces have proved to be worthy investments as he has a huge base of fans. Having painted personally for six presidents and even painting a cover for Lifetime Magazine in 1969 its clear how beloved his style is. With his bright colors, broad brush strokes, and popular content he has been crowned as a pop culture icon and will be forever enjoyed and loved.
