Up for sale is an absolutely stellar original oil painting on canvas by the 20th century still life master Roberto Lupetti. Depicting a rather wonderful American Western genre still life we see a nice Southwest blanket draped in the background which runs over the table where the red and brown pot sit with the myriad of cowboy spurs. The attention to detail in this original composition is quite phenomenal with every weave of the rug visible to the spots of rust on the red pot and fine engraving work present on the spurs. The work is signed in the lower right corner and rests in its original wood frame which has some missing gesso / cosmetic blemishes. The painting was originally retailed through Cory Galleries of San Francisco for the sum of $4500 USD and was clearly painted to appeal to collectors in the regional area. The subject matter of the still life is less common and of which I personally prefer over the more traditional fine silver and or Judaic related works. The condition of the painting is excellent, it just has some slight surface abrasions / light scratches to the finish which would be corrected with just a simple revarnish. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine original western oil painting by Lupetti but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
