Up for sale is a fabulous original oil painting by early 20th century American artist Edward Horace Nicholson. Known primarily for portraits this seated female portrait shows a beautiful woman sitting in front of a desk with books atop adorned with gold earnings, necklace and ring. Her bright red lips and brown eyes are softly painted and are quite relaxing attesting to Edwards ability to capture ones identity on canvas. This is a large painting in phenomenal condition resting in its original gold wood frame. The painting is free from any imperfection and is visually stunning when hung. Verso the original gallery paper label is present indicating this work was sold through the “Hoosier Salon Art Gallery” located in Indianapolis.
