Up for sale is a phenomenal original watercolor and gouache by the extremely talented turn of the century Austrian artist Richard Moser. Depicting a busy street scene in Margareten Vienna, over a dozen figures are shown finely dressed carrying on their way, chatting and riding that beautiful red trolley just down the road. The quality and level of execution is superb with fine details and realistic perspective. My favorite aspects of this work are the ornately dressed figures in the foreground where every detail of their outfit is clear and secondly at the end of the street the building with the blue wall is a chocolate factory. Appearing to read "Stollwell Chocolate" adds such a unique and fun dimension to the work rarely seen. This Moser ticks all the boxes for what the artist is known for and measuring 9 3/4 x 12 1/2 inches the work is a fair size looking excellent when hung in its perfect condition with its appropriate minimal toning. The painting has a matting that has been adhered down.
The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine Richard Moser original painting but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
