Up for sale is a phenomenal mid century abstract oil painting masterfully painted on masonite and illegibly signed low right. The painting measures approximately 40 x 16 inches while the original linen wrapped painted white wood frame measures 41.5 x 17.75 inches. The quality and level of execution is superb but after showing this work to multiple experts they were unable to determine who the artist was based on the small signature that was applied with the handle point of a paint brush while the paint was still wet. They had agreed it was executed by a very talented individual which makes it heart breaking for me as I have owned this painting for quite a while tossing around the idea of selling this when I don't know who painted it.

I purchased this from the son of its original owner and the only information he was able to tell me was that his father purchased it from a gallery in Washington D.C. which he believed to have taken place during the summer of 1964. The condition of the painting is good but it does show some minor paint loss / flaking. This original oil painting looks incredible when viewed on the wall and is ready to be hung and enjoyed. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this excellent abstract composition but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
