Up for sale is an outstanding mid century oil painting female portrait on canvas signed and dated in the lower right corner "Theo. Werner 1941". Theodore Werner was a well listed and famous German artist but composed mmostly abstract compositions. I am unable to determine whether this is from that Theodore Werner or not. This portrait is in excellent condition with no major damage other than the one puncture left of the woman's head which could easily be fixed. The style feels a little film noir and funny enough their is some similarity to Carmen Sandiego.

This original painting is signed and dated in the lower right corner but is very difficult to read as seen in the 10th photo provided. The size of the canvas measures approximately 24 x 30 inches while the stunning original gold wood frame measures 32 x 37 inches. The frame unique and in stunning condition and absolutely makes the painting drawing out the gold tones in the background and woman's skin. The frame is almost mint but does show some very minimal cosmetic blemishes and or imperfections (1 tiny chip in low left corner, see 1st photo).
