Up for sale is a phenominal original mid-century oil painting copy of Pieter Bruegel's "The Peasant Dance" originally painted in 1569. This original oil painting is executed on masonite and is signed in the lower left corner "Kopie Bruegel" and dated 1955 with the artists monogram below. This work was not created in the attempt to fool but gives proper respect to the Renaissance master. This work measures approximately 24 5/8 x 18 7/8 inches and comes unframed. The attention to detail in all the figures of this busy composition is accurate attesting to the talent of this unknown mid century fan of Bruegel. The overall condition is near fine other than some minuscule wear to the edges, imperfection to the low left corner and a small knick on the right side of the image along the edge.
