Up for sale is a fantastic antique orientalist oil painting on canvas depicting two well dressed men inspecting two topless women. With a wonderful partial view of towering architectural spires in the background these figures are present under multiple archways. The woman appear to not dare make eye contact with even the sitter covering her face. This painting is executed in oil on canvas and has been relined onto new canvas for added stability but its original wood stretcher kept. The painting appears to date from the turn of the last century but unfortunately is not signed. The quality is excellent as it is painted in a monotone like fashion of black and cream. The canvas measures 18 x 26 inches with its contemporary frame measuring just slightly larger. The condition of the painting is good overall but it does show some cosmetic blemishes and minor imperfections / surface dirt; little scuffs and scratches are present.
