Up for sale is an outstanding mid century oil painting on canvas depicting a young boy wearing a blue outfit with hat. This work is well executed and is signed in the lower right corner "R. Galpon" as well as is titled and signed again on the reverse. The quality of execution and brushstrokes are very appealing causing you to stop and take a closer look at how it was painted. Many bright colors are used with the blue boy in contrast to the pink sheet he is sitting in front of and floral bouquet to the right. Resting in its original attractive wood frame which measures 29.5 x 34 inches while the canvas measures 21.25 x 25.5 inches. The condition of this painting is excellent with no signs of wear or damage attesting to the care the previous owners took. With this dated 1960 it has had a good 57 years!
