Up for sale is an outstanding oil painting on canvas entitled "In the Fields" and is signed in the lower right hand corner "Hernandez". This original composition is very impressive and painted in a heavy impressionist / atmospheric style that is rough and very appealing to the eyes. The painting depicts a wonderful landscape with workers in the field gathering hay piles by hand with a large blue and brown sky overhead. It is as though the sky is foreshadowing something foul that will be coming. Thick heavy brushstrokes are seen in the field, subjects and hay piles giving it a wonderful texture. 

The size is rather large and would fill a nice size hole on the wall or in your collection with the nice gold wood frame measuring 41.5 x 29 inches while the canvas measures 36 x 24. The condition of the canvas is excellent free from any rips, tears or punctures but does have a couple of spots in the top right corner as well as some minor craquelure as seen in the sky. The artist is unfortunately unable to be determined by just his or her last name which is a shame because the quality of the work is just beautiful!
