Up for sale is an absolutely outstanding mixed media painting depicting three men drilling an oil well executed in a slightly impressionist style. Painted with thick visible brushstrokes in the mens clothing and defined muscles as well to the blocked in multi colored background and flooring. The three figures are well painted and defined as they labor over properly lining up the drill. Significant force is being applied by the man in blue of which you can almost feel weight of the metal yourself when viewing the work. The painting is executed in watercolor and acrylic paint on paper and measures 18 x 12 5/8 inches. The condition is good but the paper shows some natural waviness, slight crease top right and some discoloration verso. The painting is signed just at the left of the mans foot on the right but unfortunately is illegible.
