Up for sale is a fabulous antique French oil painting on canvas laid to board depicting a long vertical floral still life with purple and white flowers. This painting was created in the late 1800's and this work has a paper gallery label on the reverse as seen in the final image provided. Coming from one of the most iconic part of France, "5. Rue des Toiles", this quality work of art could be from a significant 19th century artist. Signed in the lower left corner "Mad" I have been unable to identify the artist but the quality of the work is wonderful. From great colors to the wonderful composition and brush work this painting is very attractive. It is also resting in a custom wood frame that appears to be original to the art.
