Up for sale is a beautiful 19th century oil painting on canvas depicting a landscape during sunset with a cottage in the middle ground. The snowy landscape is rather cold feeling but the sky warms up the image with a wonderful array of soft and subtle red, oranges, yellows and purple. The transition of colors is subtle and shows serious talent by the artist. This painting is signed in the lower right corner "L.E. Extance" and is in excellent condition. Its original gesso wood frame has been repainted measuring 28.25 x 20 inches with a missing piece low right while the canvas measures 22 x 14 inches.
