Up for sale is a beautiful antique American folk art oil painting on board depicting a bald eagle resting on one long tree branch. This painting is unsigned and dates to the early 1900's measuring in its frame 10.25 x 12.5 inches the painting measures 7.75 x 10 inches. Its gold frame appears to be original and is a favorite style of mine nicely complimenting the work. Painted in a folk / naive manner this early work has nice visible texture to the birds head and tail. Over the years a considerable amount of dirt and grime has built up on the work dulling the colors apparant in the images, a good clean would benefit greatly!
