This work is executed on thin artist board and appears to date from the turn of the last century if not a little earlier. The quality of brushwork is superb and screams to the talent of the artist who painted it. It kills me to have no signature and zero provenance! The work measures approximately 14.75 x 9 inches while the antique wood frame measures 18.25 x 12.5 inches. The artist perfectly captured this split second moment in time with quick and confident strokes freezing this relaxing scene in time. The condition is excellent with just a couple small spots of loss present right center edge.
