Up for sale is a superb early 20th century impressionist American landscape oil painting on fine artist board by what appears to be "Alfred Kollmar". A matching work I have for sale acquired from the same estate was signed verso "Kollmar" and dated 1932 which was towards the end of the artists life. The brushwork and composition can be easily attributed when comparing to other works even though this is unsigned. Executed on the high end "Vandyke Canvas Board" indicates that this was done by a professional artist as well. The quality and level of execution is phenomenal with its quick and confident brushstrokes which are all individually visible giving the work beautiful texture and depth. The use and understanding of color draws the eye to it immediately with the red and orange barn in heavy contrast with the cool surrounded sky and field. Resting in its attractive original wood frame that measures 18.5 x 15.75 inches the painting measures 15.5 x 12 inches and is in perfect condition.
